Sharon Tsui is a Co-Founder and the School Supervisor of Island Waldorf School.
Brought up and educated in Hong Kong and the US, Sharon was previously an investment professional at several private equities and an investment bank. Upon the arrival of her first daughter, she came to learn about the profound role that parenting plays on the individual, familial, and social planes. In 2015, she co-founded Natural Parenting Network, a charity that advocates natural parenting practices and provides peer support to new parents.
Sharon came to know about Waldorf education after a chance visit to a Waldorf kindergarten in Hong Kong. Over time she undertook further studies into the philosophy and co-founded Island Waldorf School with a fellow parent in 2017. She has taken the school from a humble beginning of 11 children in 2 classes to (as of 2021) some 100 children in 9 classes.
