We talk about dreams all the time, yet it also seems that we don’t talk about dreams enough.
Many people lose their dreams and their capacity to dream along the way as they grow up. In fact, in many societies, a dream is not a dream - it means a job, a career, a means to make a living.
Remember how as children, we were constantly asked about our dreams for the future? And indeed, most children have dreams: “When I grow up, I want to be a rockstar, a ballerina! I want to go to the moon! I want to be a unicorn!” What happened to all that?
While we often celebrate the role of hopes, wishes, dreams, creativity, imagination for us as human beings, what really happens when a child’s dream meets our reality - the reality of adults, of parents? As a parent, one wants to encourage and safeguard your children’s dreams, but how does one strike a balance between nurturing dreams and fantasies, and securing their future and functioning in society? How do we help children to grow up to be hopeful, fulfilled, imaginative, and curious? And central to the conversation, how do we keep dreams alive for children and grown ups alike?
We have invited 3 educators / parents to speak about how they envision parenting and education, and how they are living their own aspirations to improve the lives of other children!
With a one-off sample of their signature physical sunfluff, WULT Beauty wants to tell you that anything is possible! First-come-first-served basis while stocks last.
